OKAY .....what is the deal .......?
Today, the weather was beautiful. A mostly sunny day, high in the 60's. Just warm enough, that in the afternoon on my way to campus, I took my top off. That's right, mary anne and I went cruising for a bit.
tomorrow
snow.
enough said.

Picturesque Weekend!
. Wow! what lovely warm weather Kate and I encountered this past weekend~! We took a trip to southern PA and visited two of Frank Lloyd Wright's masterworks. He built homes and other various buildings throughout his life, even designed most of the furniture and accessories for these structures. The two we saw were Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob . We stayed at a lovely historic bed and breakfast within 10 minutes of the homes called Lesly's Mountain View Country Inn. (((although the trip may seem out of price range in total, there are many coupons/discounts available-->if you have questions i'll tell ya how to save $$$ )))
.....Just an amazing experience. Please comment below if you have ever been there, or want to let me know what you think.

I'm blue ba da dee da dum ....
.... NO, i am not actually talking about Eiffel 65, rather the illustrious craze known as the BLUE MAN GROUP~!!! I was lucky enough to catch the touring show called, "The Complex Rock Tour" . The entire show rocked! BIG TIME - It was one of the best concerts that i've ever attended. And that's saying quite a bit (((see below))).
And it was much more than 3 goofy blue-headed men doing weird stuff with PVC tubes. Yes, there was that, but the entire concert experience was simply amazing. Tracy Bonham opened up. She did her lil' electric violin and sang her hit 90's angst-filled song, " Mother, mother " .
For me, the surprise artist was Venus HUM ! While in France, i listened to alot of techno and electronica music. Going out to the clubs, that was mostly all that was played. I even used to listen to it on the radio. Sure, the lyrics aren't always meaningful, or even audible, but that's what is amazing to me. The music is at the forefront. It's more of an ambiance, a sound that envelopes you, fills up your body cavity. So our comes this gangly, alternative chick, with her silly free-love styly hair ((check the website~!)) She was flagged on each side by these Euro-dudes; one skinny, one big and burly, both wielding apple i-BOOKs. Judging only on looks, not an A+. But thankfully i learned not to judge a book entirely by it's cover. The sound coming from those i-Books and her voice ........ I cannot impress upon you, the reader, what it felt like. And the show was only half started my friends!
After Venus Hum left the stage-a-rockin' , as the rhoadies were clearing off, the had two scrolling screens. There was one on stage left, one opposite that. It was those simple kind, just one line, with the red dots like a sports ticker. But they argued with each other. The one on the right began by giving the ordinary news, like please enjoy refreshments in the lobby, and no filming of the performance, etc. The one on the left then barraged the other ticker with verbal abuse after verbal abuse! This went on for the entire intermission, a blast! Then the show began.
.... WOW!!! An amazing melange of sounds, shadows, lights, movement and sounds! Not sure how i can describe it fully here in my blog. It was just an exciting blend of sight and sound, an artistic genius. Perhaps the best word to describe what took place was uttered by a great entertainer Will Farrell as he portrayed james Lipton, when he invented the word, "Scrumptrulescent"! Yes, that would be what I layed witness to at Shea's Perfoming Arts Center last nite.
Thank you for reading. If you get a chance, see the show!
(((oh, previously, the best show i'd attended, "Tenacious D" )))

OUTKAST!
If you don't have this album, you might want to think of it. I know alot of all y'all ain't into rap. But at least download a song on kazaa (((you will only get arrested if you UPLOAD, so try it))) To me, it is not on the same level as much of hip-hop, or any contemporary music, ie. top 40. Sure some of the music is brash and afro-centrik ....but most of it is what i consider art: a means of universal communication.
there i said it.
outkast to me is art. It speaks universally to a broad audience about concrete topics. oh, well, some non-concrete topics too ....but you hafta see for yourself, or hear for yourself i should say. It's rap on another level. NOT just my bling-bling or i got your HO's rap. they actually construct their beats themselves, using intricate rythm and meter schemes. and you can't front on their style~~they always got the off-tha-wall digs, always original!!!
so if you get the chance .....it's called speakerboxx .......may be the record of the year in my books.
leave a comment below if you agree. and if you don't, well, ya bettar askssomeBODy. leave a message anyway, or send me an email !!!

UH-OOHHH!
.....Time is running out folks! Several of my E-Bay auctions have already been bid on. Hurry, or you may be too late, and if there's one thing my Dad taught me: "You can call me stupid, call me whatever you want, just don't call me late (((for dinner)))" So consider yourself warned. Word to your mothers, each and every one of you.
......Looks like a bit of a warm up this week. Good, too, 'cause I missed cruising around w/my top off! Carpe diem! Yet another word of wisdom from kennyB .....who luvs ya baby!

well, fall has come in full force. not sure if you'd say like a lion, tiger, a black-striped adder, or a hippopotomus, but it has come with avengence! and what are we to do.
My body is not acclimated to this change in weather. neither are the plants, judging by the way things look outside my window. don't get me wrong. i like the cold, and am eagerly anticipating the snowfall here in buffalo. but my body needs some fall weather to get prepared. i haven't yet begun to store up any fat for the winter months. i do have plans: *Ted's hot dogs (((high in fat and sodium--perfect for maintaining weight--we just got buy1 get 1 free coupons))) *becoming a couch potato (((increasing my tv time by watching playoff baseball and eating chips)))) *vitamins galore ((((whatever i can get my hands on)))) *moderate exercise ((((by moderate i mean MAYBE once a week--sorry zink)))) any other suggestions on how to prepare for this fast approaching winter are welcomed. please insert them into the comments, or email me.
IN OTHER NEWS: ...... ...... .......EBAY!!! i have several items up for auction. trying to suppliment my income. please be generous and check out MY AUCTIONS thank you, and happy bidding!!!

good luck to those in the path of the hurricane. living here in buffalo, we just received news that the eye may travel over orchard park on friday around noon. my car will be in the garage, locked up and out of harms way. if it doesn't rain, i heard the weather will be nice, in which case i may go for a swimm.
made it through another class. the prof did compare me to the band on the titanic that kept playing on despite the eminent peril. but that's another story;email me for more info on that. i did find out that i do not adhere to a student centered philosophy. i am quite firm on that.
.... ........and in other news, has anyone heard that Roots song with cody chestnut, "the seed 2.0" ........i can't get it out of my head. it may well be my favorite song of all time in the entire universe.
....more on that later

whewwwwwwww,
i finished the paper and it was fairly well received. this grad class is going well. why couldn't under-grad be so easy. my classes at NAZ were so much more difficult. of course, hosting keggers and hitting up the clubs did get in the way, but still, grad classes are wicked simple.
looking forward to dave m. 's new cd. should be a good one. and how about simon and garfunkel??? anyone wanna goto toronto....? lemme know, y'all can crash at my place as it's only a couple hours away. feel free to put comments below, or email me your thoughts.

man, lemme tell 'ya.....
back to skuul....i've got a 3 page paper due. that seems like a final project here, but 'tis only the first day of classes. better get this lazy bone removed and replaced with one of those japanese tuner-car upgrades! my chasis needs some re-work, some nitrus or sometin', for shur.
i'm sure it will all work out. i am indeed excited to learn something. may sound strange to some out there, but i work better when new things are happening. when i get bored, i shut down.
fall is upon us.....as the seasons change, my soul is rebirthed. though it is not spring, i am rejuvinated, ready for some growth.
